Human Trafficking: Awareness & Action
ABOUT
APRIL 5-6, 2019
This conference is a platform for faculty, university undergraduate and graduate students, and researchers from all disciplines to share original research on human trafficking, both awareness and action. Presentations are also welcome on other forms of human rights noted in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The conference is co-sponsored by the USM College of Arts and Sciences, the USM Honors College and the USM School of Social Work.
Admission is free for all attendees. Faculty, student, and professional presentations are welcome -- see below.
ADVOCACY TRAINING
If you are interested in hosting a (non-denominational) professional training workshop or participating in training on how to combat human trafficking, please indicate that in your proposal. Non-Professional organizations focusing on human trafficking can sign-up to make a presentation or set-up a display. All proposals will be vetted.
SUBMISSIONS
Proposals for presentations by faculty, students or professional advocacy organizations should be a maximum of 200 words.
Proposals for professional organizations to set up a display should also be a maximum of 200 words and include a web link to the organization.
Deadline to submit proposals: February 12, 2019 by 5 P.M (central).
Selected participants will be notified no later than Feb. 28, 2019 and sooner for earlier submissions.
REGISTRATION
Registration is free. No fees are included, however the Center is unable to pay presenters or travel costs.
